Tampa Bay fishing report

Fishing remains great as we progress thru summer. The patterns have remained steady fishing shallow early and slowly working to deeper flats as the sun gets higher. We’ve been catching bait at first light and fishing them under corks in the shallows for seatrout and the occasional cobia. Then as the sun gets higher we move to 6 or more feet of water to deeper grass and fish for a multitude of species. You can expect to see seatrout, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, Jack crevalle, silver trout, ladyfish, cobia, many different sharks from 3-7 feet, and jump the occasional tarpon. This pattern will remain for a while and provides constant action.

The fishing pressure is greatly reduced from now thru fall. Now is the time to book for those days when you want to feel like you have the bay all to yourselves. Tampa Bay fishing at it’s finest!

Tight lines…
