Tampa Bay fishing report

Spring has finally sprung! Fishing the flats in the Tampa Bay area is in full swing. The snook fishing has finally taken off and we’re putting linesiders in the boat on every trip now. The redfish have made a good show on the islands and are recieving heavy pressure but are still eating. Being very patient and quiet has payed off on these fish. The trout fishing remains great in the Boca Ciega Bay area. Tarpon Springs and the St. Joseph Sound area trout fishing has remained strong also. I haven’t really started much of my king and spanish mackerel fishing yet due to the non-stop windy days we’re having. It’s no problem to have and east wind or north east wind but we’re getting day after day south and southwest winds that are shutting the beach fishing down. But that’s o.k., we’ve got plenty of fishing to do on the inside. It’ll more than likely be another week and we’ll be on the beaches catching spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, sharks, barracuda, and goliath grouper. I still have some April dates available for your Tampa Bay Fishing adventure!

Tight lines!

Capt. Chris
