Tampa Bay fishing report
Been a while since I’ve put a report on so here’s the latest. With the cold/warm weather we’ve had the fish are still eating. Picking tides is important to capitalize on the right areas.
Most reliable right now are the seatrout, sheepshead, redfish, bluefish, ladyfish, silver trout, and a few others. Soon we’ll see some warmer weather and our spring will be in full swing. Spring will see many of our species that were dormant coming out and putting the feed bag on when the baitfish schools show in better numbers.
We’re still seeing baitfish in areas that we fish but getting the fish to eat them in 58′ water can be a challenge. So we’re fishing for the species that aren’t as affected by the temps.
Looking forward to the rest of this winter trout fishing the Tampa Bay areas lush grass flats.
Tight lines!
