Tampa Fishing Report

Happy New Year!

We’ve been fishing the Tampa Bay structures lately and having great catches of sheepshead, mangrove snapper, grouper, and grunts. The sheepshead are starting to show in good numbers near the bridges close to the passes.

The season just opened for seatrout in our area. We’ve mainly been fishing them on live shrimp and jigs in the shallow grassy areas with potholes on the negative low tides. In this same area we’re fishing tailing redfish when we get days with little wind.
