Sheepshead

Today was another day of sheepshead fishing the local structures using barnacles for bait. The water temp is still a little on the cold side for some of the other species so we’ve been focusing on the fish that don’t mind cooler weather. The sheepshead make a great meal when fried or grilled and they are abundant on the bay area structures right now.

Tampa Bay fishing for sheepshead doesn’t get any better than in February!
