Charter fishing Tampa Florida
We were greeted with the results from a weekend cold front that had water temps showing a 15 degree drop on my lowrance. The water in many areas was coffee colored and void of life. I acquired beautiful bait of three different types and was hoping to be fishing Tampa Bay area flats for snook and redfish. Well the tide had barely any movement early on which proved difficult in conjunction with such a drop in water temperature and clarity. Out came plan B. We went to shrimp and started fishing St. Pete area bridges for sheepshead. This was the ticket. Shrimp fished with a small amount of weight were inhaled on every drop and soon we had a full box of sheepshead. With a few days of warm weather we should have temps back in the 70 degree range and fishing back to the way it pre cold front.
