Fishing Charters Tampa area

Fishing remains steady in Tampa area with speckled trout, sheepshead, black drum, redfish, around residential docks. Fishing circle hooks with a small split shot and a hand picked shrimp is about as easy as it gets right now. Starting out in protected canals and working dock to dock with the trolling motor and power pole we’ve found a variety of fish to keep us busy. The shallow flats of Tampa Bay have had bigger trout up skinny on those warm days with little wind. Sheepshead should really take center stage now as they are in spawning mode and bunched up. They don’t get much respect being a piling hugger but man are they good to eat!
