Fishing Charters Tampa Bay area

Another small cold front rolled through the area with little impact on my fishing charters Tampa Bay area. The bite consisted of several keeper sea trout, sheepshead, small redfish, black drum, flounder, jack crevalle, mangrove snapper, ladyfish, and more. It rained for most of the trip but the guys I had on the boat felt that our 60° weather with rain and wind was far better than the 12° weather back home with snow! So we zipped around the flats and caught the sea trout on jigs and then went to the residential canals for dock fishing with shrimp on circle hooks and that’s where the latter species came from. Water was at 63-64° which is perfect for right now.

Looking forward to warmer weather soon and using bait fish again. It’s funny how every fall I can’t wait for some cooler weather and by February I’m chomping at the bit for some 80°+ days!!
