Mixed bag fishing Tampa Bay
Today I fished 3 anglers in search of many different species. We were fishing Tampa Bay again and the highlight of the trip was pretty much the grouper bite. We had the fish eating every bait that hit the water and were also eating artificials when put in the right spot. The mackerel were not making a good show being that the tide was very slow today. The seatrout bite was pretty good on the flats while tossing jigs under floats. We were fishing them in about 2-4 ft. of water. Todays trip was a 4 hour so we didn’t have much time to target other species.
Spring has sprung and the bite is on for just about everything while fishing Tampa area. The only thing I haven’t seen yet is bigger sharks. But rest assured they’re not far behind these bait schools and mackerel schools.
Till next report…
