Shark Fishing Tampa
Plenty of sharks here in Tampa Bay right now. On a recent trip pictured above, father and son teamed up on this shark just shy of six feet. Bait of choice was spanish mackerel fished in the sand adjacent to seagrass areas that hold an abundant food source like mackerel, ladyfish, jacks, bluefish and more. We usually anchor up and fish for the smaller fish (aka shark bait) and hang half a fish off the back of the boat in search of one of the many sharks around. Sharks we’ve seen lately are blacktip, sandbar, nurse, and hammerhead.
Give me a call/text today and we’ll get your shark fishing trip scheduled!
